Movement Enthusiast
Dana’s restless hands, mind, and soul found a creative and meditative outlet in kinetic art. An introduction to the work of Alexander Calder during her Art History studies planted seeds, which many years later grew into her own exploration of this art form.
Since 2020, she has dedicated herself to the hanging mobile as a template to experiment with different materials, techniques, and aesthetics. Found objects have been at the core of her practice, as a result of searching for beauty everywhere she goes and breathing new life into everyday items.
Dana sees herself moving through the world like a kinetic sculpture - constantly being shaped and reshaped by the conditions around her. In this way, each and every artwork she creates is a mirror, even pieces are intended to be temporary.
